It struck me recently that I don't mention that all the software on this site is written to run on UNIX. I use RedHat Linux for all my work at the office and at home. The only software I use that doesn't run natively on Linux is my very old version of AutoCAD, which runs nicely under FreeDOS under QEMU under Linux.

Long live free software. If you want to try to build any of these projects on Windows, feel free to try - often they can be made to work. I don't know why you would pay good money for a restrictive Windows license agreement in order to have the privilege of that extra work, though!
