I added some hard-earned knowledge about MINIX and memory expansions to the AT page.

Last night as I was typing along, my original IBM 5154 EGA monitor's magic smoke came out. I had dug it out of storage and used it for a few days, with no problems, until it blew up. It released a surprising amount of white smoke. I couldn't tell at first glance what parts released their smoke, but a few of the big electrolytics have hemispherical, not flat, tops. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what to try first to fix it. I hope I can - I remember the day I bought it, and how very neat it was. It has had an easy life - the tube is (was?) still bright and in focus, with no burning. It's worth fixing, I think.
