The new official Matrox driver version 4.2.0 for the G450 and similar cards has an incorrect limitation for the dot clock on the second head when the first head is DVI. The DVI head is correctly limited to 112 MHz but so is the second head, which stinks if you have a high resolution monitor there. I think this is a simple bug in the source, but building it is awfully hard. I found it much easier to patch two bytes in the binary. The attached file is a diff of the hexdumps - you will have to use a hex editor to change the appropriate bytes.
