This conversion uses the Pluto FPGA board and LinuxCNC's Enhanced Machine Controller to run the X/Z closed-loop servo control, PWM for the spindle speed control, spindle power solid-state relay, spindle encoder reading, home/limit switch on X.
Also shown are photos of the isolated PWM input added to the Sherline speed control box. This takes 3.3V PWM directly from the Pluto and gives excellent linear control. Files attached to this page:
